Graft reference: Accountability court likely to cease Dar's surety bonds today
Ishaq Dar has once again not appeared before the court as he is in London for heart treatment.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The accountability court has on Tuesday begun the hearing on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s assets beyond means reference, and is likely to cease the minister’s surety bonds worth five million rupees.
Judge Muhammad Bashir is hearing the case and Ishaq Dar has once again not appeared before the court as he is present in London for heart treatment.
The court will also look at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) petition in today’s hearing in which it has been requested to declare Ishaq Dar absconder.
It is worth mentioning here that the accountability court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Ishaq Dar in the previous hearing, and also issued a show-cause notice to Ishaq Dar’s guarantor Ahmed Ali Quddusi.
Ahmed Ali Quddusi was directed by the court to make sure that Ishaq Dar appears before the court on November 21 (today).
